Biography:

Anne K. Abbott has been painting since she was 3 years old. Because she was born with Cerebral Palsy, it was difficult for her hold a brush, so instead she started using her index finger. Through years of practice she developed her artistic skills. Now her repertoire consists of portraits and landscapes and flowers and nudes and animals and abstracts.

In her art she tries to represent her own ideals such as social justice and the freedom of being naked. She also put some of her own life experiences in her art. Often you will see her dear late husband Rob in her paintings or her two cats Hershey and Rascal, or her old cat Dandylion who was the inspiration for her business name.

Every Saturday at St. Lawrence Market she sits and visits with her customers. She displays her paintings as well as her cards and calendars, etc.
