Othalia Doe-Bruce

I am the Founder of InnovFin, a consulting and advisory firm that helps Finance companies leverage innovation and disruptive technologies to cut costs, generate revenues and access financing.

In 2018, I founded The Innovative Financier (TIF), an information hub strong of 300+ members. TIF qualms individuals worries about the impact of innovation by providing them with a platform where they can identify opportunities, in the digital economy, for the betterment of their career and society in general. In 2018, TIF raised thousands of dollars for the benefit of 3 amazing charities: Salvation Army, PAWS and Film for Peace.

I am also part of the Executive management team of the BlockchainHub, a not-for-profit organization affiliated with York University, and providing education, research and commercialization of Start-Ups.

There, I designed and manage successful commercialization and educational programs, and helped grow the community from 0 to more than 3,500+ members.

I was featured in the Globe & Mail and Coinsquare as one of the Women in Blockchain disrupting the gender imbalance status quo in the industry.

Before discovering a passion for Blockchain, I accumulated 10 years of international experience working in investment management for Fortune 500 companies, where I developed an expertise in investment performance analytics and reporting.

I often speak and give interviews at conferences and to the media to advance Blockchain adoption. Appearances include: Government of Canada Blockchain Hackathon, Canadian Screen Awards, McMaster University, University of Ottawa, University of California Irvine, to list a few...

When not busy building Blockchain communities; organizing and speaking at events; or working with companies; I mentor Blockchain start-ups.

I earned the Certificate in Ethereum Blockchain Development, hold the CIPM from the CFA Institute, obtained an MBA in Investment Finance and a European Master in Management. I speak French and English.
