Biography:

Urszula is a teacher with a Master's of Education Degree from the University of Toronto. She has over fifteen years of experience working with students as a teacher, coach, mentor, and has organized many extracurricular events at the school and Board level. Through her own life-experiences, and love for education, Urszula continues her message of empowerment in the IdealMe Enrichment Workshops for Youth. She has also given motivational talks within her school board and community. Urszula’s involvement in the public began 20 years ago and she has been recognized for her volunteer work with a Certificate of Appreciation from PLASP (Peel Lunch and After School Program), a Certificate from High Five Quality at Play Training for Principles of Healthy Child Development, a Certificate of Appreciation for Volunteering, Support and Commitment from Bravo Volunteers, and a Certificate of Appreciation for provision of volunteer service, Community on Campus, from the University of Toronto. She has also donated, raised funds for, and completed 5km and 10km races for various charities, such as The Colours of Love International Concert for Hats of for Awareness, The Toronto Women’s Run Series for POGO (Pediatric Oncology Group of Ontario), The Sunshine Wish Foundation of Canada, the Community Walk-A-VON for Health on behalf of the Victorian Order of Nurses, and the AIDS Walk Toronto. Urszula has recently been nominated for the OTIP Teaching Award and the Carl Mitchell Award for Community Engagement from the University of Toronto.
