Dr. Sindy Zemura

Dr. Sindy Zemura is a multiple award winning humanitarian, social entrepreneur, international development executive, diplomatic

consultant, philanthropist and pioneer, focused on empowering marginalized women, girls and youth. She is a specialized consultant with over 2 decades experience on Women and Gender, Education, Youth empowerment, and HIV awareness.

Given her passion for these causes , Sindy is the Founding CEO of the Southern Africa Embrace Foundation, a International Development charitable organization located In Toronto, Canada which also holds ECOSOC Special Consultative Status at the United Nations. The Foundation supports the wellbeing of over twenty five thousand vulnerable women, children and youth in seven countries in Africa. She serves in over twenty boards across the globe and is part of networks within various United Nations agencies and the African Union.

Sindy's passion for the empowerment of marginalized communities and gender equality has to date awarded her the opportunity to moderate and or speak at over eighty(80) global events, along with and before dignitaries, celebrities, diplomats and more. Amongst many of her recognitions, Sindy was nominated to represent Canada at the 2020 and 2021 UN-CSW conferences, she's a 2017 humanitarian nominee with MIPAD's (Most Influential People of African Descent) 100 under 40 Influencers, Recognized by Prince Harry in 2018 for advancing HIV Awareness and youth empowerment in Africa, 2019 North America Business award winner at the Africa Powerful Partnership Awards at CSW-UN, 2019 - Top 100 'The Young Independents – Africans influencing policy, brands and people. In 2023, Sindy received an award as one of the '100 Women to Know in America' by JP Morgan Chase, recognizing her humanitarian work and advocacy.
