Biography:

Carlotta Monteith-McDowall is an accomplished entrepreneur and dance director. She is proud mother to four (4) children who also shares in her passion for dance. She is happily married to her unconventional husband Chiwale McDowall, who is very supportive of her community endeavors and achievements. She has inspired and mentored over 200 children in the GTA. She is a graduate of Westview Centennial Secondary High School and Yorkville College where she received her Community & Social Service Worker Diploma.

In 1995, she began to dance professionally and has participated in various dancehall competitions, that resulted in her being crowned the undefeated International Dancehall Queen in Canada from 1999-2005. After retiring from dancehall as the reigning Queen in 2005, she committed her life to the Lord. Carlotta got baptized at Light and Life Ministries in 2007 and got appointed the dance department ministry director.

Carlotta's dance skills is described as the hidden language of the soul through expressive movements, using different genres that reaches the wider community. Carlotta envisioned owning a dance studio since her youth, that would provide affordable classes for children and teens interested in learning the art of dance. Her dream manifested at the age of 32 and in 2015, established Arch Angels Dance Academy in the heart of Jane & Finch.

She is a community supporter who is passionate about dancing and teaching dance to others in excellence. Her dance ministry is described as a positive force that restores power to the mind, body and soul. She is humbled and grateful for the gifting bestowed to her by God that has contributed to grounding and strengthening her faith.

Carlotta strongly believes that you can accomplish anything that you put your mind to stating: "there is no limitation nor boundaries-sky is the limit". Her mission is to inspire positive change and affect one's life through dance.
