Biography:

Sarah is the CEO and founder of Siika foods, a Canadian business specializing in African culinary sauces.

Sarah migrated from Uganda in 2001, She came to Canada with her Business and entrepreneurial spirit (She owned a successful beauty parlour, maize mill, and farm), driven by her entrepreneurial spirit, despite being and immigrant, Sarah embarked on various ventures, including event planning, interior designing, and catering until she zeroed on the now successful but growing ethnic culinary sauces under the Siika foods Brand. www.siikafoods.com

In recognition of her business and entrepreneurial spirit, Sarah was selected to be on the 2023 Simcoe County Immigrant Business Entrepreneur panel where she shared her business / entrepreneurship journey.

Sarah’s is a co-founder of an African community garden called 'Community Minds Grow Gardens: www.cmgg.ca which provides a nurturing space for community members to connect with one another and embrace nature. Gardening is one of her passions, and she finds joy tending to plants and watching them grow.

In addition, Sarah has also participated actively in her community, serving in several leadership positions in the Uganda Martyrs United Church of Canada

Sarah is married with 4 children and holds a bachelor’s degree in interior design from Humber College.
