Biography:
Tracey-Acadia Thomas is a devoted Christian, wife, and mother of two boys, who spends the majority of her time in the things of God. She leads a women’s ministry called "Soulful Women: Soul Sistas Women of Purpose," geared to encourage and inspire women in their journey with Christ. Through this ministry, she created and is the Editor-in-Chief of Soulful Image Magazine. Since its inception in January 2014, Tracey has been recognized for her contribution to the community as a business owner, author, writer and entrepreneur. She was nominated and won the Woman on Fire Media Award in April 2015, Built To Inspire Premised On Excellence Award September 2015, Queens Rising Together Award Toronto in February 2016, 100 Black Canadian Women To Watch June 2016, 100 Accomplished Black Canadian Women Publication in June 2016, and selected as a Role Model for the 2016 Black Women Awards in July 2016 - inducted as 1 of 100 Black Canadians into the "National Wall of Role Models" to inspire, unite and showcase excellence and positive image from our community. She won the Queens Rising Award in 2017, 2017 Junction of Excellence in the Advancement of Women Award, Nominated for 2018 Waterfront Award Celebrating Outstanding Women, and Nominated for the 2018 & 2019 RBC Canadian Women Entrepreneur Award. She is the Founder of Faith Filled Books and CEO of Thomex Inc, the Corporation house to many of her businesses.
She is co-owner along with her Creative Director husband Allister Thomas of the brand Fa.real Clothing @ fareal.com, Fa.real Custom Tees, comic strips called Bigg As Life, Spare The Rod, Cady's Kids and a graphic business Fa.real Designz N Print (FDNP). They are the creators of the highly successful Original East York Clothing Collection created when they opened up their first store front in 2013 near Woodbine on the Danforth in At the tender age of 13, Tracey was forced to move out on her own while still in high school. As challenging as it was in those times being young, and living alone, she graduated from high school and went on to University to study Classical Voice/Performance and Musical Theatre. It was very evident that the creative arts were the foundation of her passions in life. She acquired the desire to sing, dance, draw, design and write at a very early age. It was these God-given talents that kept her focused at school determined to achieve something great with her life despite her broken childhood.
Tracey has sung in church choirs, as a backup singer, and as a worship leader. She has also sung as a part of the Encounter Band on the show "Encounter with Peter Youngren," on Grace TV (www.gracetelevision.net). She has sung on many recording projects including “Alive In Me,”an award-winning record having won the GMA Covenant award for “Gospel Song of the Year” in 2007 for the song “Because of You.” Currently, she is working on her own Gospel debut album along with several other recording projects.
Tracey is the author of "Count Your Blessings Financial Workbook: Speaking The Word Of God Over Your Finances which was published in 2008. She is a co-author in the book Baggage To Blessings compiled by LaTonya Sheppard in December 2016 and Thought Leaders, Visionaries & Influencers Vol. 2 compiled by Ronnie Swais in 2018 and currently working on her own Anthology project SOUL FULL: Secrets of Love, Faith and Walking in Purpose which is expected to be released the end of 2019!!!
